Vehicle Showing on a Platform When It Shouldn’t Be

If a vehicle is appearing on a platform (e.g., MOTORS, CarGurus, your website) when it should no longer be advertised, there are a few things to check.

Start by reviewing the following:

  • Is the vehicle still marked as advertised in DealerKit?

  • Are there any active reservations or deals that may be keeping it live on certain platforms?

  • Is the vehicle showing any error messages or warnings on the advertising channel list?

If DealerKit confirms the vehicle is not being sent via the feed, but it is still showing live on one specific platform, this typically indicates a localised issue on the provider’s side.

In these cases, contact the platform directly via their support team or your account manager to request removal. If they are unable to resolve the issue, we are happy to raise a ticket directly on your behalf.

Vehicle Not Showing on a Specific Platform (e.g., MOTORS, CarGurus, Website)

If a vehicle is not appearing on a specific platform, there are several surrounding factors to consider.

Start by checking the following:

  • Are there any issues with the images, description, or error messages shown next to the advertising channel?

  • Is the vehicle posting correctly to other platforms? Since the same feed is sent to all providers, successful posting elsewhere usually indicates a localised issue with that specific platform.

If the issue appears platform-specific, you may need to contact the provider directly through their support channel or your account manager. If they are unable to assist, we are happy to raise a ticket on your behalf.
